Who
Are The Jews Today?
In
the beginning, God chose Abraham, one man, who had a son named
Isaac. Isaac grew up and had a son named Jacob. God changed
Jacob’s name to “Israel.” Jacob-Israel’s household eventually
grew into 70 souls, all of whom went down into Egypt during
the famine when Joseph was chancellor.
Exodus
1:1-5 Now these are the names of the children of Israel,
which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with
Jacob. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, Zebulun,
and Benjamin, Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. And all the
souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls:
for Joseph was in Egypt already.
The
Israelites were in Egypt for two hundred and ten years and
during this time were enslaved by Pharoahs who knew not Joseph.
When the Israelites eventually left Egypt during the Exodus,
some of the Egyptians went with them and became part of the
Israelite nation.
Exodus
12:37-38 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses
to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were
men, beside children. And a mixed multitude went up also
with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.
By
this time many of the Israelites were already long gone, having
traveled to the European continent to settle, never to return.
For instance, the tribe of Dan was already well established
in Scandanavia and Denmark.
Judges
5:17 Gilead abode beyond Jordan: and why did Dan remain in
ships? Asher continued on the sea shore, and abode in his
breaches.
When
Israel invaded Canaan God told them to exterminate all the
Canaanites. But Israel disobeyed and left many cities of the
Canaanites intact.
Joshua
16:10,13 And they drave not out the Canaanites that dwelt
in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites unto
this day, and serve under tribute. … 13 Yet it came to pass,
when the children of Israel were waxen strong, that they put
the Canaanites to tribute; but did not utterly drive them
out.
After
Israel was settled in Canaan they began to intermarry with
the Canaanites, which was forbidden by God.
Judges
3:5-7 And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites,
Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites:
And they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave
their daughters to their sons, and served their gods. And
the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD,
and forgat the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves.
Even
Solomon the king took many Canaanite wives.

Kings 11:7-8 Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh,
the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before
Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children
of Ammon. And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which
burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.
After
Israel was taken away captive by the Assyrians, the Assyrian
king re-peopled the cities of Israel with Babylonians. These
Babylonians were later taught the Law of Moses and adopted
Judaism as their own religion.

Kings 17:23-27 Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight,
as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel
carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.
And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and
from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim,
and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of
the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt
in the cities thereof. And so it was at the beginning
of their dwelling there, that they feared not the LORD:
therefore the LORD sent lions among them, which slew some
of them. Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria,
saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in
the cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the
land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold,
they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God
of the land. Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry
thither one of the priests whom ye brought from thence; and
let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them the manner
of the God of the land.

Kings 17:28-34 Then one of the priests whom they had carried
away from Samaria came and dwelt in Bethel, and taught them
how they should fear the LORD. Howbeit every nation made gods
of their own, and put them in the houses of the high
places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their
cities wherein they dwelt. And the men of Babylon made Succothbenoth,
and the men of Cuth made Nergal, and the men of Hamath made
Ashima, And the Avites made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites
burnt their children in fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech,
the gods of Sepharvaim. So they feared the LORD, and made
unto themselves of the lowest of them priests of the high
places, which sacrificed for them in the houses of the high
places. They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after
the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence.
Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear
not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after
their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the
LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel.
The
Israelites continued to marry Canaanite women, even after
they were taken captive to Babylon.
Ezra
10:2 And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons
of Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against
our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of the
land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing.
Ezra
10:10-11 And Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them,
Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase
the trespass of Israel. Now therefore make confession unto
the LORD God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate
yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange
wives.
Ezra
10:44 All these had taken strange wives: and some of
them had wives by whom they had children.
Nehemiah
13:3 Now it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that
they separated from Israel all the mixed multitude.
Nehemiah
13:27 Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great
evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?
In
Esther’s time many Babylonians adopted Judaism as their own
religion, for fear of the Jews.
Esther
8:17 And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever
the king's commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy
and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people
of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon
them.
Esther
9:5 Thus the Jews smote all their enemies with the stroke
of the sword, and slaughter, and destruction, and did what
they would unto those that hated them.
Esther
9:27 The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their
seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so
as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days
according to their writing, and according to their appointed
time every year;
Only
a very tiny fragment of Israelites ever returned to Canaan,
now called Palestine, and even these were a racially mixed
people.
Neh
7:61, 64, 66 And these were they which went up
also from Telmelah, Telharesha, Cherub, Addon, and
Immer: but they could not shew their father's house, nor their
seed, whether they were of Israel. … 64 These sought
their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy,
but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put
from the priesthood. … 66 The whole congregation together
was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,
By
the time Jesus came along this racial mix had become established
in Palestine under a line of Edomite kings. According to Fausset’s
Bible Dictionary the Herod line of kings was “Of Idumean [Edomite/Esau]
descent (Josephus, Ant. 14:1, section 3). The Idumeans were
conquered and brought to Judaism by John Hyrcanus, 130 B.C.
Thus the Herods, though aliens by birth, were Jews in faith.
They made religion an engine of state policy.” These Edomites
were the descendants of Esau, Jacob’s older brother.
Romans
9:13 As it is written, Jacob [Israel] have I loved, but Esau
have I hated.
Luke
3:1 Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar,
Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch
of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and
of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of
Abilene.
Matthew
2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days
of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east
to Jerusalem,

2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the
Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take
the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be
thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the
young child to destroy him.
Matthew
2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise
men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the
children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof,
from two years old and under, according to the time which
he had diligently enquired of the wise men.
Mark
8:15 And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the
leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.
Acts
4:27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou
hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles,
and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
Luke
23:12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends
together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.
During
the Babylonian captivity the Jews created a commentary on
the Law of Moses called the Babylonian Talmud. By New Testament
times the Jews were far more interested in observing the Talmud
than the original laws of Moses. In the New Testament the
Talmud is referred to as “the tradition of the elders.”
Mark
7:3 For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash
their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of
the elders.
Matthew
15:1-2 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were
of Jerusalem, saying, Why do thy disciples transgress the
tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when
they eat bread.
At
Jesus’ time the Samaritans who learned Jewry in 2 Kings
17 were still flourishing in Palestine.
John
4:5,9 Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called
Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his
son Joseph. … 9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him,
How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which
am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with
the Samaritans.
John
8:48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not
well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?
The
Jews of Jesus’ day did not count their descent through Israel
and were proud of that fact, reminding Jesus that they had
never been slaves in Egypt.
John
8:31-33 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples
indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make
you free. They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were
never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be
made free?
These
Jews were predominently the descendants of Edom through Esau,
Abraham’s grandson.
John
8:37-39 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to
kill me, because my word hath no place in you. I speak that
which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye
have seen with your father. They answered and said unto him,
Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's
children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
These
Jews also did not count their descent through Judah and distained
Jesus that he had been born through the originally illegitimate
line of Pharez and Zarah, the two sons of the patriarch Judah.
John
8:41-43 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to
him, We be not born of fornication [Judah]; we have one Father,
even God. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father,
ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God;
neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand
my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
By
the time of Jesus the vast multitude of true racial Israel
had long since thrown off their national identity, degenerated
to their tribal roots, and migrated northward, conquering
and settling the European continent. These are the Angles,
Saxons, Celts, Goths, Gauls, and Britons of Western Europe.
Is
42:10 Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise
from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and
all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
God
intended that true Israel would resettle north and west of
Palestine, in western Europe and the British Isles. “Britain”
is a Hebrew word which means “covenant land.” “British” is
Hebrew for “covenant man.” So also “Hibernia,” which is the
ancient name they gave to Ireland, means “land of the Hebrews.”
Gaul is also a Hebrew word meaning “redeemed kinsmen.” These
are the true descendants of ancient Israel.
Is
42:12, 20 12 Behold, these shall come from far: and,
lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from
the land of Sinim. … 20 The children which thou shalt have,
after thou hast lost the other [first Israel was lost
in the Assyrian captivity], shall say again in thine ears,
The place is too strait for me: give place to me that
I may dwell [Europe].
According
to the Bible, the true Israelites can also be clearly identified
today because they are all Christian. Since Jesus was sent
to “the lost sheep of the house of Israel,” and none were
lost, and the word of God is true, then the Israelites were
ordained to hear the voice of Jesus Christ and to adopt his
faith. Thus the Israelites of old are called “Christian” today.
This explains why the nations of Anglo-Saxon Celtic Western
Europe are all of one kindred race which profess the Christian
religion.

15:s24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the
lost sheep of the house of Israel.
John
10:3-4 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice:
and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them,
and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
John
10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow
me:
John
18:9 That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of
them which thou gavest me have I lost none.
Today
true Israel is to be found by a new name … Christian.
Isaiah
62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all
kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which
the mouth of the LORD shall name.
Those
who have continued in the practice of Jewry are the Egyptians,
Canaanites, Samaritans, Babylonians, and Edomites who adopted
the Law of Moses in Old Testament times.
John
10:24-27 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto
him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ,
tell us plainly. 25 Jesus answered them, I told you,
and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name,
they bear witness of me. 26 But ye believe not, because
ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27 My sheep
hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Around
40 AD the kingdom of Adiabene converted to Judaism. This kingdom
was located in the vicinity of modern-day Armenia and Iran.
Much later, around 700 AD, the entire kingdom of the Khazars
adopted Judaism as the state religion. The Khazars are of
Turko-Mongol descent. These peoples have produced the Ashkenazi
line of modern Jewry.
According
to the Bible, those who call themselves Jews today are in
fact imposters, because although they have adopted the Old
Testament Jewish religion, they are not the descendants of
Israel.
Revelation
3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which
say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will
make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know
that I have loved thee.
Jesus
agreed with this statement.
John
8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts
of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning,
and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.
When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is
a liar, and the father of it.
Jesus
went on to harshly criticize this “genea” or family

23:33-36 Ye serpents, ye generation of
vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? 34 Wherefore,
behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes:
and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some
of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute
them from city to city: 35 That upon you may come all
the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of
righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias,
whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36 Verily I
say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation
[genea: family].
The
Jews themselves agreed with these words
Mat
27:25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be
on us, and on our children.
The
Apostles of Jesus echoed these same thoughts and knew the
truth regarding the character of the Babylonian Idumeans who
created Judaism.

Thess. 2:14-16 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches
of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have
suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they
have of the Jews: who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their
own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not
God, and are contrary to all men: forbidding us to speak to
the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins
alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
Today
the word “Jew” refers to a religion, not a race. The Jews
of today are a mixture of races who practice a religion based
on the Babylonian Talmud. This religion bears only a passing
resemblance to the Old Testament religion of the Israelites.
This fact is no secret. Go to any Jewish book store and ask
them.
The
Israelites on the other hand left off their practice of the
Law of Moses long before 500 BC.
Hosea
8:14 For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples;
and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a
fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
Today
the “lost” tribes of Israel are predominently called
“Christians.”
Revelation
3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple
of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon
him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God,
which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven
from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
The
Jewish peoples of today may be great folks, it’s just that
they are not the true descendants of ancient Israel. The religion
of the ancient Israelites was based on “the law of Moses and
the prophets.” According to a parable given by Jesus, those
who originally heard the law of Moses and the prophets would
later became Christians. The Jewish peoples of today came
to Judaism only after ancient Israel had been conquered and
disbanded by Assyria and Babylon. By that time the law of
Moses had been superceded by the Talmud. These late-comers
to Judaism never believed Moses and the prophets, and thus
cannot be persuaded by Christianity today.
Luke
16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the
prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose
from the dead.
Those
who originally heard Moses and the prophets did hear him who
rose from the dead, and are called Christians today.
Beyond
these Biblical facts, there is the simple history of the last
two thousand five hundred years, since the Bible stopped recording
the events of Israel, which clearly shows the migrations of
the Israelites northward into Western Europe after the Assyrian
and Babylonian captivities.
There
is also the thirty or so prophecies of the Old Testament which
clearly tell us how to identify Israel in the latter days.
The kindred peoples of the United States, the British Commonwealth,
and the nations of Western Europe fulfill all of these prophetic
statements. The Jews of today do not.
There
is a great deal of literature readily available for anyone
wishing to study this subject in greater detail. So vast is
the information on this topic it could easily consume a lifetime
of learning.
